Privacy Policy
What this website collects, why, who it goes to, and how to ask for a copy or have it removed.
Last updated 26 October 2026
Audcomp is an IT services company in Ancaster, Ontario. This policy covers audcomp.com. It does not cover the systems we manage on behalf of clients, which are governed by the agreement we hold with that client.
We have tried to write this in plain language. If anything here is unclear, ask us and we will explain it rather than point you back at the page.
What we collect
You can browse this site without telling us who you are. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not sell anything on it.
- Pages you visit
- Which pages you open, roughly where you are, what device and browser you use, and which site sent you. Collected by Google Analytics, which sets cookies in your browser.
- To see which pages are useful and which are not.
- What you type into the contact form
- Your name, email address, company, phone number, the service you selected, and your message. Nothing is required beyond what the form marks as required.
- To answer you. It is emailed to our team and not added to any list.
- How you arrived
- The first page you landed on, the site that referred you, and any campaign or advertising tags in the link you followed. This is held only in your browser tab and is erased when you close it. It reaches us only if you send the form.
- So an enquiry says how you found us, rather than arriving with no context.
- Approximate location
- City, region and country, worked out from your internet connection by our hosting provider. It is approximate and is not a street address.
- Attached to form enquiries, so we know roughly where an enquiry came from.
- A spam check
- When you submit the form, Cloudflare Turnstile runs a check to confirm you are a person. Your IP address is briefly used to limit how many times the form can be submitted.
- To stop automated abuse of the form. It is not stored afterwards.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your information, and we never have.
- We do not add you to a mailing list because you filled in the contact form.
- We do not try to identify individual visitors by name.
- We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies to tell repeat visits apart from new ones. That is the only cookie this site sets for analytics.
If you would rather not be counted, every major browser can block or clear cookies, and Google publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics on every site that uses it. Blocking them does not stop any part of this site working.
The record of how you arrived at the site is not a cookie. It is held in your browser tab only, and closing the tab erases it.
Who else sees it
We use a small number of established providers to run this site. Each one sees only what it needs to do its job.
- Analytics about page visits.
- Processed in: United States and elsewhere
- Microsoft
- Enquiries sent through the form arrive as email in our Microsoft 365 mailboxes.
- Processed in: Canada
- Cloudflare
- The spam check on the form.
- Processed in: Global network
- Vercel
- Hosts this website and serves its pages.
- Processed in: Global network
Some of these providers operate outside Canada, which means your information may be processed in another country and be subject to the laws there. We will also disclose information if the law requires it of us.
How long we keep it
Enquiries sent through the contact form are kept as ordinary business correspondence in our email, so we have a record of what was discussed. Google Analytics applies its own retention period to the visit data it holds.
If you would like your enquiry deleted, ask us and we will remove it.
Your rights
Canadian privacy law gives you the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy of it, to have mistakes corrected, and to withdraw consent for us to keep using it. You can ask us to delete what we hold, subject to any records we are required to keep.
Ask us and we will respond. There is no charge for a reasonable request.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled it, you can raise it with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes to this policy
If what we collect changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated. We will not quietly broaden what we collect and leave this page describing the old version.
